Transit Police Activity

On October 6th, 2012 at approximately 4:55 PM Transit Police Officers assigned to Area 2 were dispatched to Wellington Station for a report of a male who was masturbating on a train. Upon arrival officers observed a male, later identified as William Jones, 37 of Boston,MA., who matched the description, officers called out to Jones and he immediately took off running. Officers caught up to Jones and stopped him to further investigate. A victim came forward and positively identified Jones as the male who was manipulating himself on the train from approximately Oak Grove until Wellington Station. Officers placed Jones under arrest for Lewd, Wanton and Lascivious Conduct and transported him to Transit Police HQ for processing. Jones will appear in court sometime today.

On October 9th, 2012 at approximately 12:50 am Transit Police Officers assigned to Area 3 received a radio call for a male breaking into the Inspector's Booth at Wollaston Station. Officers responded to the area along with Quincy Police and stopped a male, later identified as Michael O'Reagan, 21 of Quincy MA.,  who was running away from the scene and fit the description provided. An MBTA employee/witness to the crime postively identified O'Reagan as the individual responsible for breaking into the booth and stealing his portable two way work radio. O'Reagan was placed into custody for Breaking and Entering and Larceny and Transported to TPD HQ for processing. O'Reagan will appear in Quincy District Court sometime today.
