Scituate man attempts to strangle Transit Police officer.

On March 24, 2020 at approximately 5:25PM a Transit Police officer assigned to the Central District was on patrol at the MBTA's South Station commuter rail when he was approached by a reporting party. The reporting party stated she just witnessed a male, later identified as Jonathan Quigley, 32, of Scituate throw a bottle through a large window pane shattering it inside South Station. The reporting party then pointed out Quigley to the officer who at this time was walking towards Track 1. The officer yelled out to Quigley several times but Quigley refused to stop. The officer caught up to Quigley and attempted to investigate. Quigley immediately responded with anger and attempted to strike the officer in the head. The officer avoided the strike and Quigley then grabbed the officer by his throat and began to strangle him. A violent struggle ensued where the officer was able to fend off his attacker and additional officers responded to assist.

Quigley was placed into custody for Strangulation, Resisting Arrest and Malicious Destruction of Property and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

UPDATE: Suspect arrested for disturbing attack on elderly man.

On March 16, 2020 we posted photographs depicting a person of interest regarding a disturbing unprovoked attacked on an 84 year old man that occurred at the MBTA Park Street station at approximately 9PM . (see posting here).

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives Mozamel Abdul-Rahman, 32, of Boston was placed into custody for Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon on an Elderly Person. Abdul-Rahman was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Serial offender arrested by TPD.

On January 31, 2020 at approximately 3:30PM a female victim reported while on board an MBTA Green Line trolley in the vicinity of Copley station a unknown male positioned himself directly in front of her exposing his genitals and committed a lewd act.

On January 31, 2020 at approximately 4:10PM a female victim reported while on board an MBTA Green Line trolley in the vicinity of Kenmore Station an unknown male positioned himself directly in front of the victim and committed a lewd act while exposing himself to her. The victim also reported she believed the suspect male video taped her reaction.

On March 12, 2020 at approximately 4PM a female victim reported while on board an MBTA Blue line train an unknown male positioned himself directly in front of the victim and exposed his genitals to her. The unknown male exited at Maverick Station.

Subsequent to a thorough investigation conducted by Transit Police detectives Farid Ennagi, 44, of East Boston was placed into custody on March 17, 2020 at Maverick MBTA station for the above listed incidents. Ennagi was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest
booking process.

Lawrence woman arrested for possession of electronic stun gun.

On March 10, 2020 at approximately 4PM a Transit Police officer assigned to the South District was on patrol at the MBTA's Ashmont station when he was approached by a male victim who pointed out a female, later identified as Danae Perez, 20, of Lawrence. The victim informed the officer Perez threatened to "Tase me" while pointing an electric stun gun at him. At this time Perez was walking away on Dorchester Ave and the officer was able to catch up to her. The officer did recover a Vipertek Stun Gun from Perez' person and Perez stated she had an argument with the victim. Perez claims the victim told her he had the Coronavirus and she alleged he threatened to cough on her. Perez states at this time she was removed her stun gun pointed at the victim and threatened to 'Tase" him if he coughed.

Perez was placed into custody for illegal possession of an electronic stun gun and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
