Chelsea man wanted for Home Invasion draws attention to himself.

On January 24, 2017 at approximately 9:10am Transit Police officers assigned to the Department's Crime Suppression Team were on patrol at the MBTA's Haymarket Station. While there they encountered a group of disorderly individuals who officers ejected from the station. One of the individuals, later identified as Anthony Norton-Uliano, 21, of Chelsea had a warrant for his arrest issued from Chelsea District Court for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon 2 counts, Home Invasion, Assault & Battery, Malicious Destruction of Property Over 250.00 and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.


Norton-Uliano was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Boston man arrested for Trafficking Cocaine on MBTA

On January 11, 2017 at approximately 7:30pm plainclothes Transit Police officers assigned to the Department's Crime Suppression Team were travelling on a inbound Blue Line train. During this time their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Geronimo Alomar , 67, of Boston. Geronimo was engaged in conversation with another male passenger however the officers noticed he was attempting to conceal a glassine bag in his hand containing what the officers believed to be cocaine.


Alomar exited at the MBTA's State Street station where he was approached by the officers. Subsequent to an investigation Alomar was found to be in possession of approximately 56 grams of Cocaine and Suboxine strips for which he did not possess a prescription. Alomar was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.


 Alomoar will be charge with Trafficking a Class B Substance and Possession of a Controlled Class B Substance.

Malden man exposes himself on Orange Line train.

On January 11, 2017 at approximately 12:15am Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Forest Hills station for a report of a man exposing himself. Upon arrival officers were met by the a victim, an adult female, who relayed the following information to officers: while travelling on an Orange Line train a male, later identified as  James Sacchetti, 30, of Malden, approached the victim and initiated a conversation about the recent Presidential Election. Sacchetti, assuming the victim voted for Secretary Clinton, made reference to that being a poor choice. The victim responded by informing Sacchetti her vote is her personal choice and business. At this time the victim alleged Sacchetti stood up from his seat, unbuckled his belt lowered his pants/underwear and exposed himself to her. Sacchetti then exited the train.


Officers quickly located Sacchetti at the north end of the station by the exit stairway. Sacchetti was placed into custody for Open & Gross Lewdness and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. A passenger on the train also came forward and corroborated the victim's statement.

Larceny Investigation leads to arrest at South Station Bus Terminal

On January 8, 2017 at approximately 10:15AM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's South Station Bus Terminal for a report of a larceny. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim who informed the officers an unknown witness approached him and described two males who walked off with his travel bag. The officers quickly located two males (in front of the Terminal) fitting the description provided and noticed the victim's travel bag was secreted behind a door but in close proximity to the sp males.

Officers approached the males, later identified as Amo Rodriguez, 38, of Lowell and Jaime White, 27, of East Boston. Officers discovered  White  had a warrant in existence for his arrest issued out of Worcester District Court for Possession of a Class A Substance and Rodriguez was in violation of the State's Sex Offender Registry's Laws. Both subjects were placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.


The victim was reunited with his possessions and did wish to pursue any charges.

Dorchester man arrested for Open & Gross Lewdness

On January 3, 2017 at approximately 11:30AM a Transit Police officer assigned to the Central District was on patrol at the MBTA's Back Bay station when he was approached by a commuter who informed him there was a male openly masturbating in the men's bathroom. The officer proceed to the bathroom and quickly located the offending male, later identified as William Aparicio, 67 of Dorchester. Aparicio was placed into custody for Open and Gross Lewdness and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Accident results in fatality in Holbrook.

Death Investigation
On January 1, 2017 at approximately 1:20PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to Holbrook for a vehicle possibly struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Holbrook Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information : in the vicinity of Union and Water Street's in Holbrook a motor vehicle, being operated by a 63 year old male, was struck by an inbound Middleboro MBTA Commuter Rail train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. A preliminary investigation suggests the motor vehicle was attempting to drive around the crossing gates when the incident occurred.  The gates were fully functional and in the down position. No foul play suspected. The incident remains under investigation by Transit Police detectives and representatives of the Norfolk County DA's Office.

Approximately 42 passengers were on board the train when the incident occurred. The incident did impact service. No other occupants were in the vehicle.
