On January 30, 2020 at approximately 11:30PM Transit Police officers
assigned to the Nouth District received a radio call to respond to the
MBTA's Conant Street Crossing in West Concord for a report of a person
possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Concord Police/Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following
preliminary information: A male, approximate age of 18, while trespassing on the right of way, west of the Conant Street Crossing
was struck by a commuter rail train on Track 1. The male has been
pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. TPD Detectives, Concord Police
and representatives of the Middlesex County DA's Office are currently
investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
Foul play is NOT suspected.

Male assaulted and robbed at Back Bay Station. Arrested by TPD

The initial area search was unsuccessful, however determined officers never gave up and at approximately 12PM located a male, later identified as Anthony Zaniboni, 33, of Boston on Summer & Chauncy Street in Boston matching the description given. Officers approached Zaniboni and soon discovered there were several warrants in existence for his arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court for Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Malicious Destruction of Property and Trespassing. Zaniboni was also in possession of the victim's sunglasses and admitted to the robbery. Zaniboni was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

West Newton CR.
On January 17, 2020 at approximately 10AM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's West Newton Commuter Rail station for a report of a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Newton Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: An adult female, approximate age of 20, while trespassing on the right of way was struck by an inbound commuter rail train on Track 2. The female was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries. TPD Detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected

Brooklyn man caught with 10 pounds of Marijuana.
On January 9, 2020 at approximately 3:16PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA's South Station Bus Terminal. While there they were approached by a concerned employee at the Bus Terminal of a very pungent odor of marijuana coming from a particular travel bag located near the Concord Coach Bus lane. Subsequent to an investigation officers discovered the bag contained just over 10 pounds of marijuana and a scale. The owner of the marijuana, Steve Theard, 36, of Brooklyn, New York was placed into custody for Possession with the Intent to Distribute. Theard was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Revere man caught breaking into Dunkin Donuts at Ruggles Station.

Mogielnicki was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered there was a warrant for Mogielnicki's arrest issued from Dorchester District Court for Drug Possession. Additionally, during the booking process Mogielnicki was found to be in possession narcotics for which he did not have a prescription.

On January 4, 2020 at approximately 7:45PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to Newton Center MBTA station for a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Newton Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a female, approximate age of 40, was struck by an inbound Green Line train on the D branch. The woman has been transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.
Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. No further information available at this time.
