Train pedestrian fatality Hanson


On May 29, 2019 at approximately 6AM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to MBTA Hanson Commuter Rail station for a report of person possibly struck by a train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Hanson Fire & EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A male, age unknown at this time, while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of 1070 Main Street was struck by an inbound commuter rail train on the Kingston/Plymouth line. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injures sustained.


Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
Foul play is NOT suspected.

Boston man arrested for Unarmed Robbery at Revere Beach Station.

Edward Botelho
On May 25, 2019 at approximately 11AM a Transit Police officer assigned to the North District was flagged down by a concerned citizen who informed the officer there was a "fight" near the entrance to Revere Beach MBTA station. The officer, who had just left the station, immediately returned and observed a male, later identified as Edward Botelho, 38, of Boston. Botelho was holding a phone in his hand and stated to the officer "It's me you want". Immediately following Botelho was the victim, a 63 year old male, who informed the officer Botelho had just robbed him of his cellular telephone.


Botelho was placed into custody for Unarmed Robbery and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Train pedestrian in Concord.

On May 23, 2019 at approximately 12:50PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to MBTA Concord Commuter Rail station for a report of person possibly struck by a train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Concord Police, Fire & EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A female, approximate age of 70, was struck by an inbound commuter rail train on the Fitchburg line. The victim sustained serious injuries and was med flighted to a Boston hospital for emergency treatment. There was approximately 25 passengers on board no other injuries reported.


Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Update: Arrest made in Shawmut Armed Robbery incident.

Alexis Mason
On May 21, 2019 we posted images of a person of interest relative to an Armed Robbery Investigation at the MBTA's Shawmut station. (see posting here). Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives Alexis Mason, 21, of Dorchester was placed into custody, on May 22, 2019 for the incident.

Public Service Announcement/Warning

On May 21, 2019 we posted photo's of a person of interest relative to an Armed Robbery Investigation (see posting here). In this incident the victim was offering an expensive iPhone for sale via social media. The suspect in this matter responded to the victim's ad and requested the victim conduct the exchange at an MBTA station. The victim agreed and was subsequently robbed and assaulted. Unfortunately this scenario has played out several times in the past.


If you chose to sell or buy items advertised on social media and the seller/buyer requests on meeting at an MBTA station PLEASE insist the exchange take place in the lobby of MBTA Transit Police HQ, 240 Southampton Street, Roxbury, MA. 02118. We are accessible via the MBTA's Andrew Sq. Red Line station and MBTA Bus Route's 8, 9 and 10. (see additional MBTA options here)


If this is not a convenient option please consider utilizing your local police department.

Tips from our MBTA community result in the identification of assailants.

On May 13, 2019 we posted images of individuals of interest relative to an Assault & Battery resulting in serious injuries at the North Quincy MBTA Station. (see posting here) As a direct result of numerous tips we received from our MBTA community the following persons have presented themselves at Transit Police HQ;
Stiles Bezema, 21, of Wrentham,
Antonio Green, 31, of Feeding Hills
John Pritoni, 29, of Norfolk
Thomas Pritoni, 23, of Norfolk

The above individuals were arrested on Aggravated Assault & Battery resulting in serious injuries.

Haverhill man in possession of Stun Gun caught Fare Evading.


Seth Sparks
On May 9, 2019 at approximately 6PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Crime Suppression Team were at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. Station conducting Point of Entry Policing. While they observed a male, later identified as Seth Sparks, 21, of Haverhill fare evade by pushing his way through the fare gates without paying. Officers approached Sparks for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were warrants in existence for his arrest issued from Haverhill District Court for Motor Vehicle Violations. As Sparks was being placed into custody he admitted to the officers he had a "Stun Gun" in his bag in violation of Massachusetts law.

Sparks was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process and additionally charge for possession of the Electronic Control Weapon.

Boston man attacked female victim near Park Street station.

Loudon Fruth
On May 10, 2019 at approximately 12:40AM a Transit Police officer was at the entrance to the MBTA's Park Street station on the Boston Common when his attention was drawn to a loud commotion across the street. The officer proceeded in that direction and observed a male, later identified as Loudon Fruth, 27, of Boston. Fruth appeared to be instigating an argument with a group of people. Suddenly Fruth approached a female wrapped his arms around her, lifted her off the ground and tackled her to the pavement. Fruth landed on top of the victim causing her impact to be more substantial. Fruth then stood up and began to chase after others in the group. The officer intercepted Fruth and placed him into custody.  

According to the victim as well as others in her group they are not familiar with Fruth and state the attack was unprovoked.

Boston man wanted for Lewdness draws attention to himself.

Dion Sticker
On May 9, 2019 at approximately 3PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District were on patrol at the MBTA's Field Corner station when they observed a male, later identified as Dion Sticker, 49, of Boston smoking a cigarette in close proximity to several "No Smoking" signs. Officers approached Sticker for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was an active warrant for his arrest issued from Dorchester District Court for Open & Gross Lewdness.

Sticker was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Train pedestrian Fitchburg:Trespasser struck.

On May 4, 2019 at approximately 1:40 PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call for a person possibly struck by a Commuter Rail train in Fitchburg. Multiple TPD units responded along with Fitchburg Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A female, approximate age of 58, while trespassing on the right of way, in the vicinity of 100 Main Street, was struck by an inbound train on the Fitchburg Line. The female was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

There was no passengers on board.


Transit Police detectives and representatives of the Worcester County District Attorney's Office is investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected. NO further updates.

Quincy man arrested on warrants at Quincy Adams station

On May 2, 2019 at approximately 9AM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call for a male loitering in the parking garage at Quincy Adams MBTA station. Upon arrival officers were informed the suspect male , later identified as Rory O'Driscoll, 50, of Quincy had fled when he was informed the police were called. As the officers was passing through the garage they observed O'Driscoll hiding in the bushes covering his face with a white towel.

Officers subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for O'Driscoll's arrest issued from Quincy District Court for Threats to Commit a Crime, Witness Intimidation, Violation of Harassment Prevention Order 3 counts and Civil Rights Violations. O'Driscoll was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
