When wanted.... Not the best decision to drawn attention to oneself.

On December 30, 2019 at approximately 4:30PM a Transit Police officer assigned to the Central District was on patrol at the MBTA's Aquarium Station when his attention was drawn to a male the officer knew had a warrant for his arrest. The officer approached the male and informed him he of the warrant and the need to be placed into custody. The male immediately fled out of the station and the officer gave chase. The male was able to make good his escape however the male left behind several of his belongings.

Approximately 15 minutes after conducting an area search several officers returned to Aquarium Station and observed a male, later identified as James Maguire, 48, of Boston gathering the escapee's belongings. Officers approached and inquired what Maguire was doing, Maguire stated " My friend left his stuff here, I'm just grabbing it for him". When asked the name of his friend Maguire provided the correct name. Officers subsequently discovered Maguire was also wanted out of Charlestown District Court for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault & Battery on Ambulance Personnel (2 Counts).

Maguire was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Haverhill man commits Lewd act on MBTA Commuter Rail

On December 24, 2019 at approximately 6:15PM Transit Police Officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to the Andover Commuter Rail Station for a report of a disorderly male. Upon arrival officers were approached by a female victim who relayed the following: While traveling on the Haverhill Line between the Ballardville and Malden stops a male, later identified as, Andy Hernandez, 27, of Haverhill was seated in close proximity to her. During this time Hernandez was staring at the victim intently and committing a lewd act.

Hernandez was placed into custody for Open & Gross Lewdness and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. During the booking process it was discivered there was a warrant in existence for Hernandez' arrest issued out of Haverhill District Court for Motor Vehicle violations.

Fare Evader, wanted in 2 separate courts nabbed by TPD

On December 21, 2019 at approximately 9PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Cenral District were on patrol at the MBTA's Charles Station when they observed a male, later identified as Michael Fitzgerald, 26, of Boston fare evade. Officers approached Fitzgerald for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequnetly discovered Fitzgerald had several warrants in existence for his arrest issued out of Brookline District Court for Assault & Battery and Witness Intimidation and Concord District Court for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Attempt to Commit a Crime. Fitzgerald was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Everett man w/an existing arrest warrant draws attention to himself at Downtown Crossing.

On December 18, 2019 at approximately 6PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Downtown Crossing Chauncy Street entrance for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed a male, later identified as Lance Tinder ,29, of Everett. Tinder was blocking the entrance so passengers could not enter. Officers inquired of Tinder why he was blocking the entrance. Tinder responded he had a right to protest and wanted MBTA riders to enter for free. For several minutes officers attempted to reason with Tinder and request he move along or vacate the area. Tinder refused to leave, utilize MBTA services or remove himself from blocking the entrance. Officers attempted to placed Tinder into custody, Tinder resisted their efforts however officers were ultimately able to place him into custody. Tinder was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered there was a warrant in existence for Tinder's arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court for Larceny from the Person.

Adult male Indecently Assaults a juvenile female.

On December 10, 2019 at approximately 4PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Park Street Station for a report of an Assault. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim, a juvenile female who relayed the following: While the victim and her friend were walking through the MBTA Park St/Downtown Crossing Concourse a male approached her and Indecently Assaulted her. The victim provided officers with a description of her assailant.
Multiple Transit Police officers searched the area in and around Park Street/Downtown Crossing continuously. Approximately one hour after the assault officers located a male (matching the description provided) and later identified as  Mohomed Diallo, 22, of Boston near Downtown Crossing Station. Diallo was positively identified as the offending male and placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
