Cambridge man wanted for Assault draws attention to himself at Harvard Station.

On July, 6, 2021 at approximately 4:20PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call for an individual who had set up his television, PlayStation and game controls on the inbound platform. It was further reported the male was utilizing an electrical outlet and was watching a movie and playing with the game controls. Upon arrival officers located a male, later identified as  Tykell Jones, 22, of Cambridge engaged in the above reported behavior. Officers attempted to explain to Jones the inbound platform of Harvard MBTA station was not the wisest choice to set up his TV, PlayStation and game controls. Jones was uncooperative.

Officers subsequently discovered Jones had an active warrant for his arrest issued out of Roxbury District Court for Assault & Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Assault & Battery. Jones was placed into custody and transported, along with his entertainment set up, to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.
