Argument over music turned into physical confrontation.

On April 13, 2020 at approximately 4:45PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call for two persons fighting at the Maverick Sq. MBTA station. Upon arrival officers ascertained the following: a male later identified as Joseph Carrigan,44, of Revere instructed another male, later identified as Tristen Phillips, 31, of Malden to turn his radio down due to the offensive language of the lyrics. An argument ensued and ultimately both parties engaged in a physical confrontation where they assaulted one another with a knife (Phillips) and a pair of scissors (Carrigan).

Carrigan and Phillips were placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. Both subjects sustained non life threatening injuries.

Boston man committs Lewd act & screams homophobic slurs at officers.

On April 9, 2020 at approximately 11PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to meet an inbound Red Line train at the MBTA's Kendall station for a male committing a lewd act on board the train. Upon arrival officers were met by the reporting party who pointed out a male, later identified as Adam Smith, 48, of Boston and stated Smith was committing a lewd act with his genitals fully exposed to everyone on the train. Officers approached Smith who was still seated on the train at this time and smoking a cigarette. Officers requested Smith exit the train. Smith immediately became belligerent, refused to comply or extinguish his cigarette and called the officers homophobic slurs.

The officers were forced to engage in a physical struggle with Smith and eventually placed him into custody. Smith was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. Smith will be charged with Open & Gross Lewdness, Assault on a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Dorchester man arrested for illegally possessing a firearm.

On April 6, 2020 at approximately 8:20PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were notified by Boston Police of "Shots Fired" in the vicinity of Temple Place and the Downtown Crossing MBTA station. Officers were provided with a description of the suspect and shortly thereafter encountered a male, later identified as Rigal Fineus, 22, of Dorchester at the Haverhill Street exit of MBTA  North Station who matched the description. Officers engaged Fineus and ultimately recovered a .380 caliber Diamondback firearm from his person. Fineus was not duly licensed to carry a firearm and was placed into custody. Fineus was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

UPDATE: Arrest made in State Street robbery.

On April 6, 2020 we posted photographs of a subject of interest relative to a vicious assault and robbery. (see posting here). Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives, Glen Villareale, 29, of Boston was arrested at Park Street station on April 6, 2020. Villareale was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

The subject depicted within is wanted for questioning relative to an Aggravated Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot) and Unarmed Robbery Crime, at State Street Station on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at approximately 11:10 PM. After the initial assault, the subject depicted above, forced the victim to an ATM to withdraw money.
