On Christmas Day ???

On December 25, 2017 at approximately 2:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to Sullivan Sq. MBTA station for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers were met by a male victim who informed the officers he was charging his cell phone inside the station. The victim moved away from his cell phone but kept a visual on it. At this time a female, later identified as a Jessica Jordon, 36, of Worcester removed the victim's cell from the charger and attempted to walk away with the phone. The victim confronted Jordon demanding she return his cell phone. Jordon denied taking the phone and the victim called police.

Officers approached Jordon who claimed an unknown male stole the phone. Jordon furnished a false name and other identifiers to officers who ultimately placed her into custody for Larceny. Jordon was subsequently discovered to be in possession of the victim's cellular telephone and there were warrants in existence for her arrest issued from Malden District Court for B & E Building and Malicious Destruction of Property. Jordon was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

Death Investigation 69 Boston Street-Suspect 5

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the person portrayed in the enclosed video relative to a death investigation that occurred on October 17, 2017 inside the Holiday Inn in the area of 69 Boston Street, Dorchester. The facts of the incident are as follows: At about 4:15 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 69 Boston Street, Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed a male in his mid-20s inside the hotel suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as Joshua Briggs, 22, of Dorchester. During a four-month-long investigation, BPD homicide detectives were able to gather evidence, identify, and receive warrants for four suspects responsible for Briggs’ death. On Wednesday, December 20, 2017, officers arrested 27-year-old John Collins of Dorchester, 24-year-old Michael Reynolds of Roxbury, 24-year-old James Coleman of Milton, and 29-year-old Errin Crawford of Roxbury and charged them with Murder, Armed Home Invasion, and Armed Robbery in Boston Municipal Court. Collins and Reynolds were both additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. BPD Homicide detectives are now seeking the identification of a fifth suspect (seen in video) relative to this death investigation. The male suspect may go by the name “Randy” or nickname “Randy Boy” and was seen on video wearing a hooded sweatshirt described as a “Levi Strauss Men’s Madrid Logo Hoodie Sweatshirt” (pictured) and a jacket described as a “Zumiez American Stitch Tiger Eagle Navy Souvenir Jacket” (pictured).

 The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470. Smoking leads to arrest of man wanted in Puerto Rico.

On December 17, 2017 at approximately 10:30AM Transit Police officers on patrol at the MBTA's Chinatown Station had their attention drawn to a male, later identified as Jonathan Santiago, 28, of Boston. Santiago was smoking from a cigarette inside the station near the south entrance. Officers approached for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered Santiago was wanted in Ponce, Puerto Rico for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.




TPD officers confirmed with Puerto Rican authorities the warrant was extraditable. Santiago was placed into custody for being a Fugitive from Justice and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
