MBTA employee assaulted, arrest made.

On December 8, 2013 at approximately 10:15 am an MBTA employee was working at the MBTA's Orient Heights station when he was violently set upon by a male. The victim/MBTA employee,  48 years of age and 14 year employee, suffered serious facial injuries as a result of the unprovoked assault. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for emergency care.

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives Damien Bundu, 23 of Mattapan, was arrested on December 12, 2013 for an unrelated warrant. Subsequent to an interview with detectives Bundu will be charged for the above referenced assault. It is expected Bundu will be arraigned sometime today in East Boston District Court for Aggravated Assault & Battery causing Injury.
