On December 30, 2013 at approximately 8 am Transit Police officers from Area 4 were performing Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Forest Hills station. While there officers did observe a male, later identified as
Gerald Galligan, 35 of Abington fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Galligan and subsequently discovered there was a warrant in existence for Galligan's arrest for violation of the Commonwealth's Drug Laws issued from Brighton District Court. Galligan was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. This was Galligan's second fare evasion offence and he was cited accordingly.
