Transit Police officer spots Wanted Everett man

On January 13th, 2013 at approximately 10:55 a.m. Transit Police officers from Area 2 were on patrol at Central Sq. MBTA station when their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Ryan Folan, 24 of Roxbury, MA. Folan entered through the fare gates without paying, yes you guessed it he "piggybacked" in behind a paying customer. Folan's behavior was also described as "loud" and "boisterous"  as he entered. Officers approached Folan for the purpose of issuing a citation, subsequently officers discovered there was an outstanding default warrant in existence for Folan's arrest issued by Dorchester District Court for Motor Vehicle violations. Folan was placed into custody for the warrant and transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process. Folan was also issued a $50.00 fare evasion citation.

Also on January 13th, 2013 at approximately 11 a.m. Transit Police officers from Area 4 were on patrol at Massachusetts Avenue MBTA station platform area.  One of the officers, who has proven his identification prowess in the past, spotted an individual who was featured on a Wanted Poster by the Boston Police. Officers approached and confirmed his identity. Indeed the officer was correct,  Patrick Maggiano, 51 of Everett, MA. was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant (issued from Boston Municipal Court for Distribution of a Class B drug and Possession with intent to Distribute a Class B drug). Maggiano was transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process.
