On January 7th, 2013 at approximately 9:15 p.m. plainclothes Transit Police officers assigned to Area 1 were on patrol at South Station MBTA Commuter Rail when their attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Ryan Ross, 28 of Boston, MA. Ross was aggressively panhandling female patrons for money in the area of Track 1. Officers approached Ross to speak with him regarding his intimidating behavior. Ross furnished the officers with a false name and date of birth. As the officers were trying to ascertain Ross' true identity he suddenly took off running. Ross made it all the way to Beech and South Street's, however the officers kept up step for step with Ross and apprehended him. As it turns out Ross was a wanted man, there was an arrest warrant in existence for Ross' arrest issued from Quincy District Court for Receiving Stolen Property and Larceny from a Building. Ross was transported to Transit Police HQ for the booking process and will appear in Quincy D.C.
