Dorchester man arrested for unprovoked assault. JFK MBTA Station.

 On March 4, 2022 at approximately 8;50PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's JFK Station for a assault in progress. Upon arrival officers located a 26 year old male victim who was bleeding profusely from his face and head with the suspect, later identified as David Washington-Halfkenny 40 of Dorchester, standing over the victim and shouting. Officers immediately intervened and ascertained the following information: The victim while traveling outbound on a Red Line train was seated and keeping to himself. At this time Washington-Halfkenney began aggressively pacing within the train car and suddenly without provocation struck the victim in his face/head numerous times with a blunt object. The train was stopped at JFK Station at this time. 

Officers rendered first aid to the victim until Boston EMS arrived onscene assumed care and transported the victim to a local area hospital. Washington-Halfkenney was placed into custody and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.
