Revere man assaults TPD officer

Julien Exantus
On August 5, 2019 at approximately 11:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Haymarket Station for a report of a naked man running around in the bus way. Upon arrival witnesses directed the officers' attention to a male, later identified as Julien Exantus, 22, of Revere. Exantus, clothed at this time, was behaving strangely and yelled for the officers to "Give your life to me". Exantus made numerous odd statements to the officers and stated he smoked "a lot of K2". Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation however Exantus retrieved a skateboard and began to swing it towards a by-stander. At this time an officer attempted to subdue Exantus to prevent him from causing harm. During the struggle Exantus elbowed the officer above his left eye. Eventually Exantus was subdued and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

The officer was transported to a local area hospital were his wound required stitches.
