Trespasser struck in Grafton; Confirmed fatality

Death Investigation
On May 29, 2014 at approximately 7:30 PM Transit Police officers working in Area 4 received a radio call to respond to Grafton for a person possibly struck by a MBTA Commuter Rail train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Grafton Police and Fire, Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information; At approximately 7 PM an 18 year old male, while trespassing on Track 2, was struck by an outbound Worcester Line train in the vicinity of mile post 37.5. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

Transit Police detectives and representatives from the Worcester County District Attorney's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

    1. His name was Eric he was a good friend smart determined to do great things he loved life and fought for what he did, he had a girlfriend who loved him far past normal standers. He went to Grafton job corps and I pray hey will place a memorial for him at the train station or on campus where the students could pay their respect.

  3. I loved him like a son. My heart is beyond broken. My prayers go out to his parents and siblings. As a parent myself, I will be mourning him and all our precious memories forever.
