MBTA Employee assaulted- Arrest made

On September 20, 2013 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Transit Police officers from Area 4 received a radio call to respond to Roxbury Crossing MBTA station for an MBTA employee who was being assaulted. Upon arrival officers located the victim/MBTA employee, a 69 year old male, who was bleeding from his face and ear. The victim informed the officers his attacker was loitering and engaged in a very boisterous argument with another unknown male in the lobby of the station. The victim informed the two men they would have to leave the station due to their conduct.

The victim was set upon by the suspect male and punched with a closed fist about his face knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground the victim was kicked about his face and head by the suspect male. The suspect male then fled the station and was pursued by responding officers but made good his escape. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police detectives Mohammad Noor, 27 of Malden was arrested earlier today at Ruggles MBTA station for the above described assault. Noor was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court sometime Monday October 7, 2013 for Aggravated Assault & Battery on an Elderly person and Assault & Battery w/a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot).
