On July 8, 2022 at approximately 4AM Transit Police officers responded to the MBTA's Bus Terminal at South Station for a report of a female victim being harassed by an unknown male. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim who informed the officers while waiting in the bus terminal she was approached by a male who requested she engage in sexual conduct with him for a fee. The victim provided a description of the offending male and officers conducted an area search in the South Station area. Officers located the male, later identified as Cassios Lima, 52, of Malden. Lima furnished a false name and date of birth to officers. Undeterred TPD discovered the true identity of Lima which revealed there was two outstanding warrants for Lima's arrest issued out of Malden District Court for Lewd & Lascivious Conduct and Open & Gross Lewdness. Lima was placed into custody and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process.
