Dorchester man already wanted for Assault attacks fellow passengers on board Red Line train.

 On July 13, 2022 at approximately 3:30PM members of the Transit Police MOP Unit responded to the MBTA's JFK station for a report of a male assaulting passengers on board a Red Line train. Upon arrival officers were met by several victims and witnesses who relayed the following: while traveling on a northbound red line train between Ashmont and JFK a male, later identified as Eugene Wright, 42, of Dorchester was threatening and then ultimately physically assaulting other passengers by striking them with closed fists, kicking them and throwing a metal bottle. The attack was unprovoked. 

Officers located Wright on the opposite platform, where he was positively identified as the offending male. Officers placed Wright into custody and transported him to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered Wright had a warrant in existence for his arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for Assault & Battery. Wright will be additionally charged with Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon-Shod Foot, Assault & Battery Dangerous Weapon-Bottle, Assault & Battery and Disorderly Conduct for a total of 4 victims.
