Trespasser struck Waltham.

On November 13, 2018 at approximately 8:45AM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to Waltham for a report of a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Waltham Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A male, approximate age of 35, while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of Massasoit Street, Waltham was struck by an inbound  Fitchburg Line MBTA commuter rail train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.



Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
