On October 31, 2018 at approximately 6:25PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. station. While there they were alerted by concerned passengers of a male, later identified as Adam Smith, 46, of Dorchester. Smith was standing on the southbound platform with his genitals fully exposed and urinating into the track area. At this time it was reported there were several children in close proximity to Smith as well as numerous other passengers.
Officers approached Smith and placed him into custody for Open & Gross Lewdness and transported him to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During the booking phase it was discovered Smith had an active arrest warrant issued from South Boston District Court for Assault & Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
