On August 19, 2014 at approximately 9am Transit Police officers working in Area 3 were conducting Point of Entry Policing at the MBTA's Andrew Sq. station. While there they observed a male, later identified as
John Bubier, 60, of Boston fare evade by walking through the fare gates in front of a patron who paid. Officers approached Bubier for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered Bubier is a Level 3 Sex Offender in violation of the Sex Offender Register laws. Bubier was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arest booking process. You may recognize Bubier from his "guest appearance" on the Morning Fox news show in Boston (

Bubier is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court in the near future.
