Select 24 hr TPD activity


On May 8, 2013 at approximately 11:13pm Transit Police officers from Area 1 received a radio call to respond to Back Bay Commuter Rail station for a disorderly party. Upon arrival a witness pointed out a male, later identified as Bazen Berhaine, 20 of Hyde Park who was causing a disturbance. Officers approached Berhaine and discovered there was a warrant for his arrest issued from West Roxbury District Court for Unarmed Robbery and Threats to Commit a Crime. Berhaine was placed into custody for the warrant and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. During this procedure Berhaine was found to be in possession of marijuana, less then an ounce and issued a citation for 100.00 dollars.

On May 8th, 2013 at approximately 4:40pm Transit Police officers from Area 1 were on patrol at Chinatown MBTA station when they observed a what they believed to be a drug transaction between a male and female, later identified as Karen Fennelly, 42 of Chelsea and Donnell Bailey, 42 of Malden. Officers approached and discovered Bailey, who was on the receiving end of the transaction, clutching a folded up piece of paper containing Heroin. Additionally, Fennelly was found to be in possession of Crack Cocaine. Both subjects were placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Fennelly and Bailey are expected to be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court for violation of the Commonwealth's drug laws.

On May 8, 2013 at approximately 4:35pm Transit Police officers working in Area 2 were conducting fave evasion enforcement at Central Sq. MBTA station. While there they observed a female, later identified as Brittany Sousa, 24 of Boston,  fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Sousa to issue a fare evasion citation and soon discovered the was a warrant issued for Sousa's arrest from Boston Municpal Court-Central Division for Threats to Commit a Crime and Trespassing. Sousa was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. Sousa was also issued a fare evasion citation.
