Malden man arrested by TPD after causing a disturbance on Orange Line train.

 On May 12, 2021 at approximately 7:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Haymarket Station Orange Line for a male causing a disturbance. Upon arrival witnesses informed the officers a male, later identified as Michael Juskowiak, 46, of Malden "was going nuts" inside the train car by smashing the train windows and releasing a fire extinguisher contents in all directions. Officers immediately headed in Juskowiak's location where they observed him preventing the train from departing the station by standing in between the train doors. Officers also observed a white powdery haze in the air and several train windows shattered.  

Juskowiak fled down the right of way and service had to be suspended while the officers had to search for Juskowiak in the tunnel. Officers located Juskowiak inside the tunnel and placed him into custody. Juskowiak was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
