Boston woman attacks ride share operator.

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 11:45PM a Transit Police officer was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Melnea Cass. BLVD. and Southampton Street in Roxbury. While stopped he heard the screams of a female seeking help. The officer scanned his vision in all directions attempting to locate the origin of the scream, at this time a vehicle pulled up next to him. The female operator was screaming for help and the officer could observe a passenger in the back seat was violently attacking her (the operator). The officer immediately exited his vehicle and took affirmative actions to end the assault.

The assailant, later identified as Charlotte Beasley, 62, of Boston was placed into custody. The officer interviewed the victim, a 37 year old female, she informed the officer of the following: She is a ride share driver and was sent to pick up the above referenced assailant. Suddenly and without provocation her passenger began to violently assault and beat her. Fortunately the victim encountered Transit Police during the attack.

Beasley was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. Beasley to face Assault & Battery charges.
