On April 30, 2021 at approximately 4PM a Transit Police officer on patrol at the MBTA's Nubian Sq. station was approached by a concerned citizen and informed there was a male inside the station exposing his genitals and buttocks to random patrons. The concerned citizen provided a description and last known area of sight. The officer proceeded in that direction while en route the officer was flagged down by an MBTA bus operator who informed the officer there was a male on her bus exposing himself. The officer boarded the bus and observed a male, later identified as David Jones, 60, of Boston. Jones was seated and had his pants down exposing his genitals and drinking from a can of beer. The officer had to physically removed Jones from the bus after repeated requests to exit. Subsequently the officer discovered there was a warrant for Jones' arrest for Open & Gross Lewdness and Resisting Arrest.
Jones was placed into custody and transported to TPD-HQ for the arrest booking process. Jones will be additionally charged for Open & Gross Lewdness for his behavior within the station and on the bus as well.
