On October 25, 2018 at approximately 7:40PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the Green Street MBTA station for a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Boston Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male age unknown intentionally entered onto the right of way and was struck by an outbound Orange Line train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.
TPD Detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected and due to that component NO further information will be released.
