Boston man arrested for Assaulting an elderly male.

On September 3, 2018 at approximately 10:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's JFK-UMass station for a report of an elderly man who was assaulted. Upon arrival officers located a 75 year old male victim who had visible wounds to his face requiring a transport to the hospital for treatment/evaluation. Prior to being transported the victim stated he was set upon by an unknown male who instigated a physical confrontation with him. The assailant while standing over the victim, who was seated inside the train car, struck the victim in the face multiple times as well as spat upon him. The assailant then fled. Witnesses corroborated the victim's version of events.

Subsequent to a expeditious and thorough investigation by Transit Police detectives Wayne Wallace, 39, of Boston was placed into custody on September 5, 2018 for the above referenced assault.
