Boston man arrested for Lewd Conduct at JFK/UMass Station

On April 27, 2018 at approximately 6:40PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's JFK/UMass Station for a report of an unknown problem. Upon arrival officers were met by a female victim who relayed the following: As the victim entered the station's walkway from the Columbia Road side and while pushing her infant child in a stroller she was met by a male, later identified as David Jones, 56, of Boston. Jones dropped his pants fully exposing himself and made an inappropriate comment to the victim. The victim shielded her child from Jones and retreated back towards Columbia Road entrance.



Officers located Jones in the mezzanine of the station and attempted to place him into custody. Jones initially resisted the officers efforts however a brief struggle Jones was placed into custody for Lewd & Lascivious Conduct and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
