TPD confirm fatality: trespasser struck in Concord.

On October 9 2017 at approximately 10:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to Concord for a person possibly struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. Several TPD units responded along with Concord Police, Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a male, in the vicinity of Nashoba Road, while trespassing on the right of way was struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train on the Fitchburg Line.

 The male, age unknown, has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.


Transit Police Detectives along with the Concord Police & Middlesex County DA's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
