Level 3 Sex Offender arrested at Oak Grove

Jeffrey Harrell
On July 2, 2014 at approximately 1:30AM Transit Police officers working in area 2 received a radio call to respond to Oak Grove MBTA station for a report of a male threatening an MBTA employee and refusing to leave the station. Upon arrival officers spoke with the T employee who informed them a male, later identified as Jeffrey Harrell, 54, of Dorchester, had missed the last train. Missing the train appeared to have angered Harrell as he began to verbally berate the MBTA employee and at one point was banging on the window to the booth the T employee was located. Additionally, Harrell was refusing to leave the station. Harrell's actions and decision not leave the station proved to be not such a wise choice as officers soon discovered Harrell, a level 3 Sex Offender (see Harrell's status here), had several warrants in existence for his arrest. Harrell was wanted out of Boston Municipal Court for Shoplifting, Roxbury District Court for Defrauding a Innkeeper and Destruction of Property, South Boston District Court for Open & Gross Lewdness and Dorchester District Court for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Harrell was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
