Arrest made in Robbery Investigation. Government Center.

On August 20, 2022 at approximately 11:46PM 2 males and 1 female approached a permitted vendor/victim located at the MBTA's Government Center Blue Line. The vendor/victim, who sells various forms of jewelry, noticed the males were trying on different necklaces and taking photo's of themselves posing with said merchandise. As an eastbound Blue Line train arrived in the station the 2 males still wearing the necklaces around their necks began to walk away and were about to board the train without paying for the necklaces. At this time the vendor/victim attempted to prevent them from doing so when the female in the group began to, with a closed fist, strike the victim in the face several times. The trio was able to make good their escape and did not pay for the jewelry.

Subsequent to an investigation by Transit Police Detectives, Brandon Frazier, 35, of Boston was alleged/identified as one of the males involved in the incident described above. On August 24, 2022 at approximately 12:50PM a very observant TPD officer performing a Orange Line Shuttle Bus/Traffic post detail spotted Frazier outside of Government Center station and placed him into custody. Frazier was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.

Investigation remains ongoing.
