Tyngsborough man arrested by TPD at South Station.

Edwin Cruz-Ramos
On November 24, 2019 at approximately 5:25PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA's Commuter Rail lobby area when they were alerted to an unruly patron at Tavitas Bar & Grill located within South Station. Upon arrival the officer was met by an employee of the establishment who pointed out a male, later identified as Edwin Cruz-Ramos, 43, of Tyngsborough. The employee stated Cruz-Ramos attempted leave without paying his bill. When confronted Cruz-Ramos threw cash in the face of a bar employee and then refused to leave. The officer approached Cruz-Ramos and instructed him to vacate the premises. The officer's request was met with aggression coupled with numerous expletives. The officer physically escorted Cruz-Ramos from the establishment, however once outside Cruz-Ramos attempted to re enter while being belligerent. The situation eventually required several officers to restrain Cruz-Ramos and he was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
