Right place Right time. TPD Officers interupt robbery.

On November 18, 2019 at approximately 2PM two Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were pulling out of TPD-HQ, as they turned onto Southampton Street their attention was drawn to two males engaged in a physical confrontation on the ground. Officers immediately pulled over an exited their vehicle to intervene. Upon approach of the officers one of the males, later identified as Royal Kindell, 19, of South Boston got up from the ground and quickly began to walk away. The second male began frantically yelling "He stole my wallet" and pointed towards Kindell. Officers caught up to Kindell and observed he was holding a wallet and cash in his hand. The victim, a 50 year old male, went on to state as he walking on Southampton Street Kindell was walking in the opposite direction. As their paths crossed Kindell grabbed the victim's wallet from his hand and a struggle ensued. Officers recovered the wallet from Kindell which contained numerous items bearing the victim's name and other items as described. Officers placed Kindell into custody for Unarmed Robbery and brought him to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. During this process it was discovered there was an outstanding warrant in existence for Kindell's arrest issued from Boston Municipal Court-Central Division for a Narcotics violation.
