Arlington man arrested for OUI.

On September 16, 2016 at approximately 12:02AM Transit Police officers assigned to the North District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Alewife station for a report of a motor vehicle accident inside the parking garage. Upon arrival officers met with the involved parties. Subsequent to conversing with one of the operators, later identified as Gaurav Gulati, 36, of Arlington, officers suspected he may be under the influence of alcohol. Based on the officers observations, witness statements and Gulati's performance of a Field Sobriety Test he was placed into custody for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence of Liquor. Gulati was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process and is expected to be arraigned sometime today in Cambridge
District Court.
