Trespasser struck at Shawmut MBTA

On November 11, 2013 at approximately 1:25 pm Transit Police officers from Area 3 received a radio call for a person possibly struck by a train at Shawmut Ave MBTA station. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Boston Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information; a white female approximate age of  45 while trespassing on the inbound track at Shawmut Avenue MBTA station was struck by a Red Line MBTA train. The female was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
