Confirmed fatality Worcester MBTA CR Line

Death Investigation
On November 7, 2013 at approximately 7:45 am Transit Police officers from Area 4 received a radio call to respond to Worcester (800 block of Franklin Street area) for a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Worcester Police, Fire and EMS. Transit Police personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: an approximately 29 year old male while trespassing on track 1 was struck by an inbound Worcester Line MBTA train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries he sustained. Transit Police detectives and representatives from the Worcester County District Attorney's Office are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.

Shuttle bus service has been set up between Worcester and Grafton.
