Multiple Juveniles arrested for vicious attack on lone male victim.

 On January 22, 2022 at approximately 8:19PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Park Street Station for a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival witnesses informed the officers the group of assailants had just fled. Officers then made contact with the victim who relayed the following : While travelling on an eastbound Green Line trolley a group of juveniles were harassing a male and his girlfriend. The group was making inappropriate comments to the female and invading their personal space. At this time the victim, a local University student, asked the group to leave the man and his girlfriend alone. The group then turned their attention to the victim by spitting in his face multiple times. Upon arrival to Park Street station the victim exited the trolley and was surrounded by the group who proceeded to punch and kick the victim, removing his sneakers, a chain from his neck and US Currency from his person. 

Dedicated and determined Transit Police officers searched for and located the group and pursued them eventually apprehended them at various locations: Winter Street, DTC MBTA Station and Washington Street. The victim, witnesses and surveillance video confirmed the group as the victim's assailants. Placed into custody: Male Juvenile 17, of Roslindale, Male Juvenile 15, of Chelsea, Male Juvenile 16 of Roxbury and Male Juvenile 15 of Roxbury. (One of the juveniles was in possession of the Victim's sneakers)

All defendants were transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. All will face various assault charges and Unarmed Robbery.  

The victim was transported to a local area hospital for emergency treatment.
