Watertown man arrested for slashing victim in face with a knife. MBTA Andrew Sq.

 On October 29, 2021 at approximately 6:50PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Andrew Sq. station for a report of an assault. Upon arrival officers were met by the victim, a 32 year old male from Boston, who displayed obvious fresh lacerations to his face and arm. The victim and witnesses informed the officer the victim was approached by another male and without provocation closed fist struck the victim in the face and then produced a knife and proceeded to assault the victim in the face and arm with the knife. 

Officers located the assailant, later identified as Donald Alhgren ,37, of Watertown near the fare gates and placed him into custody. Officers also recovered the knife believed to have been used in the assault from Ahlgren's person. Alhgren was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for non life threatening injuries.
