Quincy man arrested by TPD for Indecent Assault.

On July 13, 2020 at approximately 11AM a Transit Police officer on patrol at the MBTA's Quincy Center station was approached by a female who informed the officer of the following: while travelling on a Red Line train between North Quincy and Quincy Center station she was indecently assaulted by a male who prior to the assault was attempting to engage her in conversation. The victim provided officers with a description of the assailant and an area search was conducted. Officers located a male, later identified as James Newhall, 38, of Quincy, fitting the description in the 1400 block of Hancock Street. The victim positively identified Newhall as the assailant and he was placed into custody for Indecent Assault and Battery. Newhall was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
