On Friday June 15, 2018 at approximately 5:50PM member's of the Transit Police Crime Suppression Team were at Revere Beach MBTA station conducting Point of Entry Policing. While there they observed a male, later identified as Jonathan Walsh,36, of South Boston fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Walsh for the purpose of issuing a citation. Subsequent to that encounter officers discovered Walsh was wanted by the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office via a fully extraditable warrant for Larceny Over 1,500.00. Walsh was placed into custody and shortly thereafter officers discovered Walsh was in possession of various kinds of controlled narcotics of which he did not possess a valid prescription.
Walsh was transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
