On June 20, 2018 at approximately 4:40pm a seasoned Transit Police detective had occasion to be inside the North Quincy MBTA parking lot when his attention was drawn to a male, later identified as Agustin Jaramillo, 22, of Boston. Jaramillo, armed with a set of bolt cutters, was attempting to cut the cable and lock off of a bicycle that was secured to the bike rack. The detective approached Jaramillo and based on his responses it was obvious to the detective Jaramillo was attempting to steal the bicycle.
Jaramillo was placed into custody for Attempted Larceny of a Bicycle and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
