Trespassers struck in Natick.

On September 15, 2017 at approximately 5:30am Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to Natick for a person possibly struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. Several TPD units responded along with Natick Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: a female, approximate age of 32 and a male, approximate age of 49 while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of the Speen Street Bridge was struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train. The female has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained. The male has sustained serious but non life threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for emergency treatment.

Transit Police Detectives along with the Middlesex County DA's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Foul play is NOT suspected.
