Trespasser struck by CR train in Bridgewater

Investigation
On December 8, 2014 at approximately 9:05pm Transit Police officers working in Area 3 received a radio call to respond to Bridgewater Commuter Rail station for a report of a person possibly struck by a train. Several Transit Police units along with Bridgewater Fire & Police responded. Transit Police personnel on scene reported the following preliminary information: just outside of the station but prior to the Laurel Street Crossing a 20 year old female, while trespassing on the tracks, was struck by a Boston to Middleboro/Lakeville train. The female was transported to a local area hospital for emergency treatment for NON life threatening injuries.

Transit Police detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
