Point of Entry Policing: Quincy Adams MBTA

On June 29, 2014 at approximately 5:30PM Transit Police officers working in area 3 were conducting Point of entry Policing at the MBTA's Quincy Adams station. While there they observed a male, later identified as Daniel Gomes, 31, of Dorchester fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Gomes, who was in the company of a 26 year old male from East Boston, and subsequently discovered Gomes had 3 warrants in existence for his arrest issued out of Quincy District Court for the following; Larceny by Check under 250.00 3 counts, Brockton District Court for Larceny by Check under 250.00 and lastly Brockton District Court for Larceny Over 250.00. Officers also discovered Gomes' companion was in possession of stolen items from Lowe's Home Improvement. Gomes was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Officers confiscated the stolen items from Gomes' companion and he will be summoned into Quincy District Court for Receiving Stolen Property at a later date.
