On August 8, 2013 at approximately 9:30pm plainclothes Transit Police officers from Area 3 were patrolling at Quincy Center MBTA station. While there a male, later identified as
William Mavrides, 25 of Weymouth struck up a conversation with one of the officers (not knowing they were a police officer). Mavrides was bragging he was a "wanted man" and would probably end up in jail soon. (sooner then you thought William). In fact there were several warrants in existence for Mavrides arrest issued from Quincy District Court for Witness Intimidation, Larceny and 2 counts of Assault & Battery. Mavrides' was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.

On August 8, 2013 at approximately 11:59am Transit Police officers from Area 4 were patrolling at Forest Hills MBTA station when their attention was drawn to female, later identified as
Teresa Colangeli, 31 of Dorchester. Colangeli entered through the fare gates without paying, she "piggybacked" in behind a paying patron. Officers approached Colangeli for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there was an outstanding warrant in existence for her arrest issued from Roxbury District Court for Shoplifting. Colangeli was placed into custody and transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process.
