TPD Officer violently assaulted at Forest Hills Station.

On November 14, 2022 at approximately 3:55PM Transit Police officers were assigned to the MBTA's Forest Hills station for the Boston Public School break. At this time there were approximately 40 to 50 youths who were loitering inside the station. The youths refused to move along and utilize public transportation. Their behavior was causing a public inconvenience and creating an unsafe environment within the station. At this time a TPD officer approached the group of youths and instructed them to utilize  the transportation services available to them or they would have to vacate from the station. The group violently set upon the officer kicking and punching him about his body. Once the officer was on the ground several in the group continued to kick him and drag the officer. Based the level of violence exhibited by the assailants and the large number involved other TPD officers present requested back up. Additional TPD, BPD and MSP officers responded to the scene to restore order.

Based on a preliminary investigation 3 female juveniles ( ages 14, 15, and 16) were placed into custody for Assault Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Police Officer. Other charges and additional individuals may be charged as a result of an ongoing investigation into this matter.
