Boston man attempts to rob Brinks employee at ATM

On May 6, 2020 at approximately 3:13PM Transit Police officers received a radio call of a robbery in progress at the MBTA's South Station CR lobby. Multiple Transit Police officers from the Central District responded and were pointed in the direction of a male, later identified as Daniel Flynn, 50, of Boston fleeing on Summer Street. Officers gave chase and apprehended Flynn in the vicinity of 245 Summer Street. Officers then ascertained the following information: A Brinks employee was servicing an ATM located in the South Station CR lobby when he was approached by Flynn.  Flynn informed the Brinks employee words to the effect " This is a robbery" and threatened to shoot him if he did not turn over US Currency. The Brinks employee created distance and 911 was activated.

Flynn was placed into custody and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
