Aquarium Station

On June 23, 2019 at approximately 9:50PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA's Aquarium Station for a report of shots fired: A preliminary investigation suggest there was an unknown disturbance onboard an inbound Blue Line train involving several juvenile males. The disturbance continued onto the platform at Aquarium station. At some point as the juvenile males were proceeding out of the station at least two shots were fired from an unknown calibre handgun. NO one was struck. The station will remain closed until we thoroughly process the scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation being handled by Transit Police detectives. No further information will be released at this time.

Supt. Sullivan, " We are extremely grateful no one was injured during tonight's incident and all available resources will be deployed to identify, locate and apprehend the person/s responsible for such reckless and criminal conduct".
