Trespasser struck Uphams Corner: Dorchester.

On August 1, 2018 at approximately 3:45PM Transit Police officers assigned to the South District received a radio call to respond to the Uphams Corner Commuter Rail station for a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple TPD units responded along with Boston Fire and EMS. TPD personnel on scene report the following preliminary information: A male, age unknown at this time, while trespassing on the Right of Way was struck by a MBTA Commuter Rail train. The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.

Service will be delayed however one track will remain open for reduced speed.

Foul play is NOT suspected.

The circumstances of this incident is currently under investigation by TPD Detectives along with representatives of the Suffolk County DA's Office.
